HIDEKO SERA, Psy.D.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

With 20 years in the field of higher education, Hideko is the first Japanese national to receive a Doctor of Psychology degree from an American Psychological Association-accredited Psy.D. program. As Associate Dean for the School of Education, she strives to promote diversity based on academic rigor and encourage advocacy work by example. Dr. Sera will be speaking about the role of educators and mental health practitioners in working toward and delivering social justice.

Our director of enrollment for education at the University of Redlands School of Education is a graduate of the University of Utah who went on to earn his M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. Dalyn's education and subsequent career have focused on equity and access issues faced by racial minorities in American education.
